Hello! We’re working on a new website design – it should be launching within the month – so please keep checking back to see how we’re progressing. Don’t worry: we’ll also be keeping this blog going and adding personal blogs for both Aryn and Benji (co-founders). We can’t wait to explore this new part of our world with you! Don’t know much about us? Read on.
Just who do these kids think they are?
Inspire(d) Media is a very small, very independent media company based in Decorah, Iowa. We print Inspire(d) Magazine and also offer a variety of freelance services through our company. Aryn and Benji Nichols founded Inspire(d) in September of 2007 – shortly after they got married (!) and now have grown to print 7000 magazines every other month. It’s a two-person show at Inspire(d) Headquarters: Aryn is the editor and graphic designer and Benji heads up the ad sales department, but we’d be nothing without our fabulous contributors who come from different areas across the region.
Simply said, Inspire(d) is an experiment in positive news. We focus on the good in life because, really, what’s the point in dwelling on the bad? Do you have an idea for a story? Interested in writing for us? Think we should be doing something differently? Drop us a line….

Thanks for advertising the great music in McGregor coming this weekend. It is on “Friday” , June 20th that Michelle Lynn will be playing at the Coffee Roasters. (I just noticed that you had Saturday as the day on the event page.)
Also, thanks for doing a great job! I found this website when my sister emailed me a link from California about the flooding last week. Keep up the good work! Kathy
Aryn and Benji, your website is looking fabulous!
Many people have told me about your mention of Dan in the article in the Des Moines Register. I am delighted that he provided inspiration for this incredible magazine- and we would love to help spread the word in any way possible. It’s truly beautiful! Warmest, Kathy Eldon
